Planning Your Meals
If you will take a little bit of time to plan your meals, you will find it so economical to retreat in a facility like ours.

Every good endeavor starts with a plan...so do what I do which is map it out according to your group's needs.

Try a group meal on Friday night. Stouffer's Lasagna from the grocery store is a great main dish.  A salad kit and garlic toast complete the main meal.  Have two girls each bring one lasagna and another bring the salad and bread.  One other person could sign up to bring dessert for this meal.  Don't forget salad dressings!

Saturday and Sunday breakfasts can be varied.  Maybe one person would bring muffins or bagels for both meals.  If you have someone who loves to cook, maybe she would treat you to pancakes and sausage.  Whoever is assigned to breakfast usually decides.  If it is a simple breakfast, she brings muffins and butter, milk and juice.  Not all gals like to get up early on retreats, so in my experience, breakfast can be a very casual affair.

Saturday and Sunday lunches are usually easy - just like at home -sandwich fixins.  Often two people sign up for this.  They bring bread, lunchmeat and cheese.  A third person can sign up for chips, condiments, lettuce and tomatoes.

You might like to take what we call  "field trips" to local stores, so Saturday lunch can be as simple as a drive through restaurant on the way to town!

Saturday night group meals are usually special.  In the past we have someone who made enchiladas ahead of time and popped them in the oven at the retreat.  Taco salad also works well for this meal.  Spaghetti is another good choice because the sauce can be premade.  Then the noodles just need to be boiled and dinner is served!  One time we had a tortilla soup for our Saturday night dinner and WOW -  was it great!  Your group will know what it likes best.  Don't forget dessert!

Be sure to have each gal bring the drinks she enjoys most.  There is a Sonic in Waxahachie for all the gals who love their Sonic drinks.  Also, ask each girl bring snacks to share.

Because you know best what your group enjoys....your plan will be geared toward their happiness.  But as you can see, it is easy to have carefree meals while you retreat with us.  Our kitchen is fully stocked, so just bring
the food and you will be ready to dine.

Of course, you can always call for pizza delivery or drive to Waxahachie (just down the road) and eat out at any type of restaurant you can think of.
